Fashion raising funds for the “pink and blue”.

I had the pleasure of attending a breast cancer fundraiser event at Intermix in Georgetown, hosted By Real Housewife of DC and owner of T·H·E Artist Agency Linda Erkiletian, benefitting Men Against Breast Cancer.

The scene was hot. As you walked in you were greeted by models, courtesy of Lynda’s Agency, dressed in the hottest items currently in the store. White wine and cupcakes were flowing. I fell in love with too many things as I perused the racks. I could of course only “window shop” I can’t fit a thing in this store! I attended because I currently have a family member battling breast cancer so I realize just how important it is that we support causes that are raising awareness about breast cancer.

INTERMIX

Men Against Breast Cancer (MABC) is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1999 whose mission is “to provide targeted support services that educate and empower men to be effective caregivers when cancer strikes”. The organization provides a workshop, Partnership in Survival, which focuses on helping men understand the emotional and physical support their female partners  will need while going through the cancer treatment process.  A great reason to do some shopping….right?

Intermix had a great Fall/Winter collection full of brights, leather, cashmere, and fur! It was a delight to behold! I fell in love with this Bordeux Fur vest by Adrienne Landau. It had wiring hidden in the collar of the vest for optimum “poppage”. I also Fell head over heel for this neutral colored Diane VonFurstenberg Bag

The event was success with 10% of all of the proceeds going to Men Against Breast Cancer. There was definitely some shopping going on!
